Audi also lists Q3 quattro versions with 150 kW and 195 kW. Those are not the same proposition as the entry 110 kW car. Likewise, do not compare a GLA 200 with a BMW M35i and interpret the result as a like-for-like test of the entire brands.

CarExpert's Australian 2026 GLA Special Edition specification records list 435 litres to the lower window line with the rear seats up and 1,430 litres with them down, using the stated ISO measure. Bring the same pram or suitcases to all three demonstrations. Check whether the tailgate closes, whether the luggage cover stays fitted and whether the front occupants still have their normal legroom. That is more useful than treating one luggage-volume number as the whole answer.
Technology and day-to-day use

There are material alternatives to check: the X1 sDrive18i has greater published cargo capacity, and the new Q3 offers a different interface and adjustable rear seating. Those can change the decision when carrying capacity or cabin layout matters more to you than the GLA's package.
